2013 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 2dr Coupe (7.0L 8cyl 6M)
It has come to my attention that buying a GM vehicle for the long term is a bad idea.
I purchased a 2002 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 knowing I would use it on a limited basis.
I kept it in the garage and babied it until I retired.
It now has less than 8000 miles on it.
Only after the fuse box shorted out while taking a leisurely drive did I realize that I had a major problem because GM does not make replacement parts for vehicles that are 10 years old.
I was so advised by GMs customer service and corporate administrative office.
Their only suggestion was to find an aftermarket part manufactured by a third party (none were available) or get used part at a junkyard.
