Corvettes and all things about them

some help w/top = yes .. power loss, nope...

I have never experienced anything like what you are describing – nor have I read about anything similar, and I have monitored the largest “Corvette-focused” forum for over 3 years. Good luck, and please post the resolution? Regarding the noisy roof – there is a TSB: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=1554872&highlight=roof+tsb But I ... Read More...

Chevrolet Corvette Swaybar Problem

2007 Corvette "sway bar issue"

I drive a 2007 Corvette convertible which just rolled over to 13k miles. I am having continuing issues with what my service rep (who is a friend) calls the 'sway bars'. I put it in the shop months ago for a rattling type noise that I thought was then coming from the driver side front end. At that time they felt the noise was from the rear 'sway bar'. During that service ... Read More...

Article Comments - 2008 Dodge Viper vs. 2007 Chevrolet Corvette

Re: Article Comments - 2008 Dodge Viper vs. 2007 Chevrolet Corvette [KarenS]

I own a 2002 Dodge Viper and I feel the Viper sometimes never gets the credit it deserves and this article does it justice. It is a super mean car that is not real friendly but will get your adrenaline flowing. One thing that I noticed which actually can be considered flattery is the door to front end profile of the 2003 and up Vipers (changed the body style in 2003) was ... Read More...

Re: Article Comments - 2008 Dodge Viper vs. 2007 Chevrolet Corvette-dyno ?

In the interests of accuracy, our region of the Viper Club sponsors an annual dyno day for many of our owners. HP and TQ numbers vary so much. I would like to know why the tests rely on 'published' numbers - instead of doing their own tests. Trust - but Verify !!! Let's see the REAL numbers. RWHP.. and RWTQ. 2000 GTS owner. Read More...

Chevrolet Corvette Prices Paid and Buying Experiences

Corvettes and Carmax

This is my first post so please bear with me if I make a gaffo. Also remember this is merely a reporting of my experiences at Carmax, your's may be different (my attorney made me say that... [yes I really have an attorney - this event is not over]) I bought a 2004 Chevy Corvette (C-5) in June of 2007 form the Carmax in Orlando, FL. The salesman said all the right things ... Read More...

Sports Cars - The Definitive Discussion

Re: This debate has been going on..... [fedlawman]

Replying to: pmc4 (Dec 07, 2007 8:52 pm) "The V6 Camry gets 19 MPG city, whereas the Chevy Tahoe hybrid gets 21 MPG city." Apples to oranges. The Tahoe is a truck that uses engine/fuel management devices that are not acceptable in a mass-market family sedan. You claimed that GM has superior hybrid technology, then why didn't they use it in the Malibu? I proved you ... Read More...

Re: Porsche ad [fedlawman]

Dec 06, 2007 12:45 am) "the Corvette is the envy of the automotive world." Only when Porsche and Ferrari develop their own cheap plastic interiors, notchy shifters, numb steering, and leaf-spring suspensions can they cease envying the exalted Chevrolet. Well put. To each his own though. Sometimes people are ledgends in their own mind ;) This debate is not likely ... Read More...

Chevrolet Corvette Transmission Problems

Re: Thanks, who can I contact? [tmerriss]

First, I feel your pain in dealing with Dealer Service Departments, in general. Second, I am truly sorry to hear of the issues you are having. The one issue I had ( 2007 Coupe - trouble w/A6 trans. ) was addressed with reasonable speed & efficiency by the dealer where I bought it. ( Largetst volume Corvette dealer in the S.E. ) Though the symptoms have started to re-appear. ... Read More...

Re: Update: [printz]

I went to this site and searched by vehicle - year - make - model and received 14 TSBs for the 2007 Chevy Corvette. Can you please tell me how you got 44. I must be doing something wrong. Thanks... Read More...

Corvettes and all things about them

my C6 A6 07 @ 1 year...

Today is the 1 year point, and just over 15,500 miles of Daily Driver Duty + a couple of longer “out of town” trips in my C6. So, I decided to share the experience and my expectations of the next year of C6 driving here. Car: 2007 C6 Coupe, 3LT, A6, ‘Base Suspension’. Use: 75+ percent = commuting in & out of Mid-Town HotLanta. The rest has been primarily the typical errand ... Read More...
