First Corvette, 42 years old, have wanted one since I was a kid. Have driven friends and relatives C3, C4, C5 Vettes but the C6 is of course the best to date. The positives: Awesome power and acceleration, great exterior styling. The negatives: poor build quality and realiability. Hard to get in and out of even at my age. Road noise premeates the cabin. Been to the dealer twice in four weeks of ownership; wipers stopped working/a wire got cut by the wiper assembly itself, popping sound from the rear. Both issues were fixed by the dealer. Great car for the $ in exchange for the performance and acceleration you get, overall quality is not there though.
Can't hear the exhaust until you get above 3000 rpm which is fine with me. Above 4000 rpm the exhaust note sounds better than your favorite song. Exterior styling. The power and acceleration of course. I got the 2LT package, kept the options to a minimum since I bought it for the performance.
Remove the forced 1 to 4 shift. You don't have to go to 4th when the light comes on (I just go into 3rd gear) just can't go to 2nd. Steering wheel radio controls would be nice. Otherwise, not much else to improve on except overall quality itself.
