I Purchased a 2004 Z06 Z16 near San Diego last Sept and, Holy Cow, what a ride! It had about 9K miles at the time of purchase and I've run it trouble-free for approximately 5K in the last 8 months. I hope that chevy takes care of your problem and replaces the car, but i had a similar case with a 2004 BMW 330. It had a faulty auto transmission from the factory. It was replaced with a rebuilt transmission. The dealer explained that they would only replace it with a rebuilt and not a new one. I was very upset and tryed every thing but legal matters. They say right in the advertising that Corvette is excluded. So be it! As a matter of fact GM has two programs, employee and supplier sales, and they are usually set up for dealer stock and are voluntary for the dealer. It is a rare Corvette that ever sees either program except for the end of the 2004 model year. Trying to make it out as a scam is so naive as to be funny. ... Read More...

FWIW: GM also is offering no-interest financing on many 2004 models for loans as long as five years. 2004 Discounts

Local Chevy dealers in my area are advertising $9,000-$10,000 off MSRP on new Corvettes. I guess the 2004's are not selling because potential buyers are waiting for the C6. As someone who has longed dreamed of owning a Corvette, I wonder if the C6 is worth waiting for considering the MSRP will probably be higher and not discounted? Thanks. Read More...
