2004 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 2dr Coupe (5.7L 8cyl 6M)
There is absolutely no question, that
this car is the best bang for the buck.
The supercharged mustang cobra is a
close second (remember the price
difference), but it's handling
characteristics make it play second
fiddle to the Z06.
The HUD is awesome. The car handles
very well. Braking is great. 400 HP out
of the box isn't bad and the car can
easily make 550HP @ flywheel for about
$5,000.00 with no loss in fuel economy
so long as you don't romp on it. The
clutch holds great and is buttery
The car needs even firmer springs and
larger sway bars. Needs short throw
shifter. The rearend needs to be
stronger to allow for HP mods. There
should be a 3.73 gear ratio on the car
with slightly wider tires since loss of
top speed won't be noticed.
