This is my second Vette (93) and the 2003 Zo6 shows improvement in power, road ability while keeping the Corvette historical looks and feel. The Zo6 seats are very comfortable and offer lots of support--better than the C4 seats. Have had no warranty issues with the car and everything works! The CAGS, which is a major safety issue, should have a defeat switch but most get an after-market by-pass. The Zo6 has the trunk feature that surpasses the glass hatch that now has body panels attached to it. The heads-up display is a cute feature but useless on rougher roads as it gives you a major headache when you try to focus on them.

Favorite Features

Love the exterior shape, and with the two tone Mod Red interior--the Vette is a looker! The exhaust note is right-on. Love the Zo6/405HP labels on the fenders (annoys Mustangs). Lots of after-market suppliers, so get out the checkbook for exterior and engine mods.

Suggested Improvements

Need a better shifter, one with less travel. Should offer chrome wheels as standard. How about the CD changer option with satellite radio. Need forward tweeters for better surround sound. And tire pressure option as an OEM feature! Also need driving lamps to flash left land parkers.

do something with this bland, plastic looking seats. Passenger seat should be electric. Radio buttons are cheap and operate like a ten dollar radio although sound is good

Stop bitching about mpg

The car is beyond anything I ever drove in that price range. The mpg is pretty damm good remember there are 405 ponies what do you think they drink air? Please stop complaining about mpg that’s like saying I want the light very bright in the room but I don't want a high electric bill. P.S. Pay for the gas or go drive a Yugo.

Review

This was the first Corvette which I had ever driven (and purchased). The fit and finish are outstanding. The ride and seating are both very comfortable..especially compared to being a passenger in 1970-80's models! I am 6'2", 230 lbs, and I am very comfortable for several hours of driving.

Favorite Features

Excellent handling. A trip last week to Los Angeles yielded 27 miles per gallon. Powerful acceleration when needed.

Suggested Improvements

I sometimes have to lean my head forward to see a suspended traffic light. I do not know the best way to address this issue because I am 6 feet 2 inches and long torso.

Best Vette Yet

Review

This is my 4th Vette ('77, '84, '01, '03). For a car that supposedly has a long heritage of poor quality and unreliability, this car has been virtually flawless, as was my '01. Great gas mileage for a car so fast that it'll scare you out of your boxers. Don't buy the Z06 unless you're a fanatic for speed and handling; the coupe or 'vert ride a tad bit more comfortable, though the Z06 is by no means punishing.

Favorite Features

405 HP, 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds. Need I say more?

Suggested Improvements

OK for a $50,000+ car, the Z06 seats do look a little cheap. No spare tire makes me nervous; whose bad idea was this?. Not much else to complain about. This really is their best Vette yet.
