Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon Engine Problems
Re: Chevy Colorado/GMC Canyon: Engine Problems [weezy3]
I baught my 2006 5 cyl Colarado in January 2007 as a new vehicle. It runs fine now, but I only have 20K on the engine, since I own and drive two other cars. My problem is that my warranty ends in about 7 months. I don't want to be stuck with a $3000 repair bill, but I love the truck. I called the dealer and was told that my VIN was not subject to a warranty extension at this time. ... Read More...
Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon Owner Experiences
Re: Chevy Colorado/GMC Canyon: Owner Experiences [dbcrue]
That truck should get a lot better mileage. I've got a 2000 S10 with the old-tech OHV 4 cylinder engine. It's a regular cab, automatic and I have a truck cap on the bed. I bought it in Dec. 2007 for $6,600 (taxes, etc. all included) and it had 52K miles. I consistently get 20-22 MPG around town and 25 MPG on the highway. It now has 64K miles. You should go to another dealership. ... Read More...
Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon Electrical Problems
Re: 2007 Chevy Colorado battery [mrwebman]
Murrays auto had one that way in that price range. I would rather step up and pay the addional cost. I see a lot of posts that say go with optima and some say that the platinum diehard is better. except sears sais they dont have one. I work construction and my battery does take a beating. I hope that is why the factory one is dying after only 1.5 years. thanks for the reply Read More...

I got mine at the local advance auto store. They check your battery and install the new one for free. It was sort of expensive I thought but not as expensive as you got quoted. I paid $95 I think it was... Cheers. Read More...

Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon Engine Problems
Re: Chevy Colorado/GMC Canyon: Engine Problems [nathaninc]
All vehicles have problems. Honda has had theirs too. Toyota is having big problems with the new Camry and is not standing behind them, putting off the customers and saying nothing is wrong. It is supposed to drive this way. I can remember Honda doing the same a few years back. At least the General stepped up to the plate. I had a Chevy Tracker that was almost 2 years ... Read More...

Re: 2007 Colorado news? [nosirrahg]
Im pretty happy with the power of the 3.5 I had my doubts considering other makes were up at least 30hp in V6 trim but after the test drive(including a 30 foot posi mark)I was sold....Now id imagine 220 hp in a 4x4 crewcab WOULD be sluggish but in regular cab 2 wheel drive its enough...Of course if chevy decided to go with some sort of V8 id trade this one in tomorrow :) Read More...
