Your are the first one, etc, etc , etc. If they admit there is a problem then they are on the hook to repair the thousands of other vehicles with the same problem.   I got mine at the local advance auto store. They check your battery and install the new one for free. It was sort of expensive I thought but not as expensive as you got quoted. I paid $95 I think it was... Cheers.
