  Squeaking brakes are very common on many vehicles and they are correct it just could be rust on the rear drums or front rotors. Driving it should rub the rust off and the squeak should eventually go away.   I just took my 2006 Colorado into the dealer due to rough idle also. It has 64,000 miles on it. You guessed it the head was bad. They are going to replace it for free.   I have a 2006 Chevy Colorado with 27000 miles. Untill last night I have never had any problems untill I went to start my truck. As soon as it started it died. On the dash it says ABS fault and low fuel. There is over half tank of gas. Any question to what the problem is?

  I used the cars.com and the edmunds.com to determine rebates. Also look at the factory-to-dealer incentives because although they will deny it, dealers will let go of some or all of $$$.   I would agree with the previous. It would be difficult to drive a Frontier, Tacoma or Honda Ridgeline (it is cool!) and then fork over within $1000 or so for Colorado. (Do it and you be the judge.)
