I purchased my 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt from Vandergriff Chevrolet March 2008. Happy of my very 1st major purchase and my very 1st brand new car!! After 6 months of driving the vehicle, may car starts to give me hesitation and stalling with jumping RPMs. Since then I would go to service at every oil change and report problem. They could never duplicate the problem. A service manager, Mr. Scheroder, even drove ... Read More

The Kansas City Star has revealed that General Motors allowed Enterprise Rental and other large fleet buyers to 'delete' side airbags on the factory floor. For three years, Enterprise car-rental has ordered new vehicles, including Chevrolet Cobalt & HHR, Buick LaCrosse, and mostly Chevrolet Impalas, deleting the side curtain airbags that otherwise came standard. As the cars were 'retired' and sold off, many of the cars were misrepresented to buyers as ... Read More
The inventory on Cobalts is getting low. Last chance for the best buy in compact coupes or sedans in many a year. Some of the rebates may sound as if you do not qualify, but they may be available anyway----be sure to ask. My 2010 Cobalt LT in the best buy I have made in 55 years of replacing my cars about every three years.
I'd be happy to help you out, autoboy19. GMAC's May lease rate and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt SS with 12,000 miles per year are 0.65% and 40%, respectively. When negotiating your deal on this car, make sure to take advantage of the $1,500 cash incentive that is currently available on leases of it through GMAC. I'm deciding on whether to purchase a Cobalt uplevel LT coupe, but I'd like to know if the front seat are comfortable enough for long drives. I've read in some reviews of this machine that the front seat cushions are flat and definitely brutal, so to speak, after cruising for a while...it's something that a short test drive just won't reveal. I hope the Cobalt is continued, at least, for part ... Read More
If I have this right, the're won't be a 2010 Cobalt next year? I heard it will be replaced by the "Chevrolet Cruze"? When will the production and sales of the "Cruze" begin? What will be the MSRP? They said that the Cobalt replaced the Cavalier would be superior to it and now I heard that the Cruze will replace the Cobalt and be superior to it to. Looks like the ... Read More
He just sounds mad that they are going to stop making the Cobalt after the 2010 model run. Also the recently stopped producing the turbo's. Cruze is an attractive name. Chevy Cruze; Chevrolet Cruze. It just sounds right. Lets go for a cruise (Cruze) tonight. Gee, the Mercury Zephre, Benz C20, Ford Taurus/Ford 500, VW Tourag, sound good. Event Chrysler uses PT Cruiser for their retro van which isn't to bad ... Read More
I read that the Cobalt will survive through the 2010 model year. It could be because all the photo's and what I've read only describes the Cruze as a sedan. Chevrolet has always had a compact as a Coupe version dating back to the Vega. I can't see them only offering a sedan. Also we must keep in mind with all the changes in the auto industry that what was in ... Read More
It seems pretty obvious that the success of the Malibu would mean that other Chevy cars would get a version of its styling. The current Cobalt is refined and a decent performer. Chevy would do well to improve on this even more. I'm hoping for even more performance availability like an Evo/STI fighter. I would love to see an AWD and maybe a hatch or wagon version. My big concern is ... Read More
I saw this in Motortrend magazine. There is basic information on GM Insider posted here and also Motortrend. The current Cobalt is a very good car but it can only get better. http://www.gminsidenews.com/index.php?page=Future_Product_Guide http://www.motortrend.com/future/spied_vehicles/112_0805_2010_chevrolet_cobalt_s- - pied/index.html GM Insider below: Chevrolet Cobalt: For about a year now it has been rumored that the Cobalt would receive a MCE in 2008 to keep it up with the competition. We have now heard that ... Read More
