Cobalt-Good Experience
I bought a new Cobalt in 2007 and have had no problems with it. The imports are way over rated! Many auto writers are clearly overly biased toward the imports for some reason and that is unfortunate since we are looking to them for the truth when researching vehicles. I looked at others before buying and chose the Cobalt because it was more comfortable, cheaper, ... Read More...
Chevrolet Cobalt: Stopping Short Problem
Re: Stopping Short Problem [ladyme]
Is your cobalt an automatic or Stick Shift? because if it is a stick shift, it could be the clutch. Meaning that either you are letting go the clutch pedal too soon when the streetlight turns green and you are trying to rush the traffic. Just by letting go the clutch pedal too soon will stall the engine and cause it shutdown leaving the radio on (safety feature) Of course, ... Read More...

Re: Article Comments - 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS Sedan XFE Full Test [micweb]
Micweb writes: "I think most of the negative reviews are bogus..." Interesting observation. I'd hate to have that same experience at the expense of buying four tires when I need only two. Also, my rear tires are covered by Continental's prorated warranty. On Tirerack's page about OE tires, they state: "Only the vehicle manufacturer and tire manufacturer working ... Read More...

I "upgrade" (so I thought at the time) the stock Contis on my '06 Cobalt to Kumho Solus KH4's, a tire which I have used on other cars and think is quite good, comparable to Bridgestone 950's. Unfortunately the Kumho's were noisier and did NOT improve handling or ride. The stock Conti's are actually pretty good tires. I think most of the negative reviews are bogus ... Read More...

I recently bought an 07 LS, and this is my first post on this forum. The stock Continental TouringContact AS tires have been okay for me. I like the ride comfort and low noise (as does my wife, who is very picky about that), and I haven't had any problems with handling on dry or wet roads. The front ones are new, and the rear ones need to be replaced soon. I went online to ... Read More...
Re: any long term feedback (well, over 10k) on 2009 LT sedan [9394]
Focus is something I wouldn't buy. Heard alot of bad things. Cobalt has style and are good on gas mileage, more reliable, handles great and are good cars. (I have a cobalt LS) Elantra gets more mpg than chevys or any other cars and is great if you need a family car. I know some people who has Elantra, and says those cars gets about 41 mpg hwy/ 36 city (just refering to what ... Read More...

Re: 2009 Chevy Cobalt SS Turbo sedan owner reviews.. [mrcellus]
Reviews of the four door, save for any discussion on rear seat space, are going to be identical to the coupe, so you're not missing much. I recently purchased an '09 Cobalt SS sedan about a month ago and these are the only differences I was able to see between the two models: - Coupe can be optioned with the reconfigurable performance display, the sedan cannot. The ... Read More...

Re: Article Comments - 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS Sedan XFE Full Test [thegraduate]
I've usually stuck with the same tire that originally came on the car but I've discovered that sometimes the cheapest cars have the most expensive tires. The Continental tires on my Cobalt seem fine and if they hold up I'll replace them with an identical one. The car handles fine and I don't have any problem with the original equipment tires. You are right though. ... Read More...

Chevrolet Cobalt Prices Paid and Buying Experience
Cobalt prices in Rochester, NY
I just got back from a Chevy dealer here in Rochester NY who has an ad in the newspaper that say they are selling ALL 2009 Cobalts for $5000 off MSRP. They had 268 in stock at the time of the ad. This is a legit price with NO ad ons other than reasonable costs for T,T, and L. The $5K discount is available to ALL buyers with no requirements. They take $2000 off the price then ... Read More...
