2005 Chevrolet Cobalt Coupe 2dr Coupe (2.2L 4cyl 5M)

Review

This car is a fun cruise around the city and it has a whole lot of acceleration. It lacks a little in the handling but it makes up in the style and design.

Best Features

The body design and the engines power have to be my favorite features.

Worst Features

What needs to be improved is the handling and it needs a better interior and a little faster acceleration.

2005 Chevrolet Cobalt Coupe 2dr Coupe (2.2L 4cyl 5M)

Review

Great little car. Owned for 4 months now and put 3000 miles on it. Got 25mpg in winter and now with 50 degree spring weather im up to 29.9mph according to the digital read out. The 2.2L engine gives it plenty of get up and go. Purchased the base model 2 door, with only power locks and keyless entry. Good buy for under $14,000. No mechical problems so far except a computer upgrade that was needed for the crankshaft sensor.

Best Features

Digital readout: trip, coolant, mileage, oil life, avg speed and MPG. The back end of the 2 door coupe cobalts really suckered me into buying it. I love how the rear of the car looks more than any other car.

Worst Features

Need better OEM tires. Had my stock ones replaced. Were an accident waiting to happen in winter. If your going to be driving in winter were you received snow accumulations of a foot or more just overnight I recommend a different car. There just isn't enough ground clearence.

2005 Chevrolet Cobalt Coupe LS 2dr Coupe (2.2L 4cyl 5M)

Review

What can I say..I LOVE IT. The gas mileage is wonderful and it's very reliable as far as dependibilty. I've always been a Chevrolet girl and with gas prices going up here in northern California it helps to have something that last longer on gas

2005 Chevrolet Cobalt Coupe LS 2dr Coupe (2.2L 4cyl 5M)

Review

Have had the Cobalt since the beginning of August. Great car with some exceptions. I have had some major/minor glitches. My back window shattered out of no where, my sunroof switch cover fell off and has not been replaced yet, my car is rattling, and my emergency break light seems to come on at random when driving.

Best Features

The Pioneer sound system is great, the ride is smooth. Quiet ride as well.

Worst Features

Obvious kinks, still in it's first 6 months of ownership.

2005 Chevrolet Cobalt Coupe LS 2dr Coupe (2.2L 4cyl 5M)

Review

I didn't know much about the Cobalt before looking at it, but I read up on reviews and such. Basically it sounded like a reliable car because it's an updated version of the Cavalier, so it didn't seem like a gamble of a first model car since it's an update on another model. Overall I really like the Cobalt LS coupe. It's reliable and seems like it's going to last for a good amount of time. The design is nice but could use a little updating to compete better with foreign cars. Only general complaints are the bad blind spots due to small rear windows and poor interior lighting and the fairly cheap plastic interior.

Best Features

Oil system, sporty look, Pioneer sound system has deep rich sound, decent gas mileage, large amount of trunk space, and pretty fun to drive.

Worst Features

Dome light (the lights under the rear view mirror are nice but not always practical) increased size of rear windows to decrease the dangerous blind spots (i feel like I'm guessing when changing lanes) Rear window wiper, wider opening to trunk, lights in vanity, and a lock on glove compartment.
