1992 Chevrolet C/K 2500 Series Scottsdale 2dr Regular Cab 4WD LB (4.3L 6cyl naturally aspired 5M)
This thing is coming up on 30 years old and it is still a beast. I have been putting a lot of work into it. A lot of work… pretty much just cosmetics. After 30 years, the first 10 being farm abuse the thing runs beautifully. It is my everyday driver, I still have the flatbed that was put on it a few weeks after it was bought in 93. I have only had it for the past 5 years and have spent … less than 1500$ on parts and repair. What can I say. Anyone with half a brain can repair these things for a fraction of the cost of todays trucks. It can still pull a load but it definitely wasn’t built for long trips. I have pulled 12,000 lbs loads going 55mph and I believe it could do it all day. It was not meant to pull going 70mph with engine and trans that I have now but I really didn’t expect it to. If you want something that is going to outlast any of the new tin cans coming out on the line today, and you are not worried about spending a little extra on gas, buy one of these! I spent $4,000 on this and I will never regret it.
