i love this truck yes it has the turning radius of the moon yes it smokes oil out of the tail pipe the lowerpanels under the extendedcab are rotted out. the brake booster just went it eats 3 quarts of oil a week but it has never left me sit just went to maryland and picked up a ford f150 put it on the dolly and hauled it back hom to pa baby girl is my favorite vehicle of all time.

imma put a new motor in this summer well as soon as it gets warm enough to do it in the drive way the valve seats and o rings are trash damn bean counters
There are very few design flaws with these 87-95 TBI trucks.
"It smokes out the tail pipe"
with these is the aluminum intake on top of a cast iron block and head assy.
The gasket does not have the orange O-Rings to allow the intake to expand faster than the iron, hence torn gaskets.
Typically on the front left cyl you can see oil or coolant.
Upon replacement, several bolts require Loctite 242 or 243 to seal coolant out of the oil galley. Also, the suggested bead of RTV on the fron and back of the intake is too small, use a 1/4"-5/16" bead of O2 safe RTV.
#2a Your valve seals may have rotted away, if it smokes on start-up, then quits, this is probably the issue.
#2b If the rings are worn, a compression test, wet and dry will confirm/deny. If they are worn, use Restore on each oil change, it has Copper, Silver and Lead, each melt at diff temps, sealing the rings, I guarantee it to work as advertised for that purpose.
The rusted out floor panels, eat the rust out with Muriatic Acid, use a fan to pull the fumes away from you and kids/pets etc.
Kill it with baking soda, then mix up Fiberglass Resin, mixed with fiberglass insulation and stuff in the holes.
When you get close, you can seal it with the same stuff, then top off with bondo, never to rust again.
I've fixed floorboards with this method, just make sure to vary the amount of hardener [MEKP] in relationship to the ambient temperature.
i.e. Higher Temps [90F]+ need less hardener
Low temps [40F]- need a bit more.
Like concrete, the longer the cure time, the stronger the bond.
