Great car, no problems

2005 Chevrolet Cavalier LS 2dr Coupe (2.2L 4cyl 5M)

I have had no problems to date with the car and it gets great gas mileage. I wish I had the 5 speed version but the auto was still good. The car is responsive and handles great.

2005 Chevrolet Cavalier 4dr Sedan (2.2L 4cyl 5M)

I was really excited to get my Cavalier, i thought it was really small and cute. When I test drove it I loved how smooth it drove and my Cavalier was very comfortable! But after only having it for about 8 months, I've spent a lot of money fixing it! The check engine light has come on several times in the past month! My car has been in the shop already twice this month. And I have been maintaining it very well. Hmm. Despite its problems, the Cavalier drives nicely and actually accelerates pretty fast!
Favorite Features
The little spoiler on my Cavalier. The seats.
Suggested Improvements
Better engine quality.

Not the best
Vehicle
2005 Chevrolet Cavalier LS Sport 2dr Coupe (2.2L 4cyl 5M)
Review
I was given this car as my first car. The design is very sporty but the interior is out dated. It gets great gas mileage and is a good starter car. It is very small! Although it only has 30,000 miles on it, it sometimes kills and doesn't want to start.
Favorite Features
The exterior design, and gas mileage
Suggested Improvements
More room, better quality of the materials used in making the car, and less noisy on the road.

My 2005 Cavalier
Vehicle
2005 Chevrolet Cavalier LS Sport 2dr Coupe (2.2L 4cyl 5M)
Review
My father bought me this Cavalier used with almost 80,000 miles in May of 2008. There is about 83,000 miles on it now and it's been pretty awesome so far. My father bought this car with a crack in the exhaust manifold. Not a big deal but can be very annoying and embarassing sounding when she first starts up. Overall I really love driving this car. It's a great upgrade from the 1998 base model Cavalier I had before this one.
Favorite Features
Moonroof, ecotec engine, stock 16" chrome wheels, fog lights, gas mileage.
Suggested Improvements
Move the temp controls above the radio area.

Sport Coupe = Awesome

2005 Chevrolet Cavalier LS Sport 2dr Coupe (2.2L 4cyl 5M)
Review
I have owned my Cavalier for about one year now. The only maitenance issue I have had is a broken clutch master cylinder. Other than that this car has been great. Also, it averages about 30 mpg (and that's mostly city driving). The 2.2L Ecotec coupled with the 5-Speed transmission makes driving this car a blast!
Favorite Features
Premiun sound system, 5-Speed transmission, Ecotec engine, and sporty looks.
Suggested Improvements
The quality of the interior plastics could be better. Also, the front brakes produce a lot of brake dust for a small car.

Unhappy Cavalier Owner
Vehicle
2005 Chevrolet Cavalier 2dr Coupe (2.2L 4cyl 5M)

This car was not even weatherproofed at the factory, bought it brand new. Nothing but problems. Customer service was no help other than replacing the carpeting after the car flooded from no weatherproofing (the "new" carpet doesn't even fit). The dashboard rattles, the window broke very early in ownership, the trunk light was wired wrong. There is still something wrong wiring-wise but no one can find it. Did I mention the customer service experience left a lot to be desired. I have been trying to get them to address any of these issues for almost 2 years now. . I wouldn't recommend a Chevy to anyone.

The 2005 Chevy Cavalier was a blessing for our daughter. I enjoy driving and using the car to run errands. It handles very well and the brakes are very dependable. The price I paid for this car was $5150. Not bad for a very economical vehicle for our daughter. By saving on the fuel, this will help us put our daughter through college.
Favorite Features
The way it handles while driving and it being very economical.
