Hey guys. New to the forum. My g/f has a 2001 cav coupe with the 2.2 (I don't think its the ecotech). Changing her oil for the first time. I have a floor jack/stands. Wanting to know where the best lift point for the jack would be. I want to raise the whole front end and use the stands on the pinch welds. That's how I do it on my Subie and it works well. It could very well be a compressor problem. I have a 91 Chevy Cavalier RS 2.2 ltr, automatic. It did the same thing from the time I got it in 2001. It just recently stopped working altogether and we took it in to the mechanic today and he called this afternoon and said the compressor was leaking all over the place, so it could very well be a problem with a weak/sluggish ... Does the 2001 Z24 Cavalier have back-up lights. I've never seen them work on mine. My fuses and bulbs are all o.k. The owners manuel lists the taillight panel to have three different bulbs yet when I pull my tail panel off I see only 1 bulb. Any Ideas? Read More...

I have a 2001 Chevy Cavalier with 14K miles on it. Recently I have noticed a smell when I turn on the vent or AC (not sure about heating as it is warm outside).
