I worked for GM in Warren, Michigan for 16 years and owned 14 Camaros from 1974 to 1986. Since then I have owned mostly BMW's. I couldn't wait for the new retro Camaro to come out. Bought one for my 17 old daughter to experience the thrill that I grew up with (driving a Camaro). I have to say the 2010 Camaro is much better that I expected. Amazing power and handling. Excellent breaking... even compared to my BMW 330. The $33K price was a bit much. It is great to see my daughter love the same car that I loved to drive back in 1974. So I guess that makes it worth the $33K price tag.

Favorite Features

Stylist exterior design. Excellent Power and Handling.

Suggested Improvements

Wait until the dealers stop charging over sticker price. Some dealers in California are taking orders at sticker price. I bought mine in October for sticker.

Had the car for 2 months, if someone wants it I'll sell it now! Too big, too heavy, poor driving visibility & seating position the hype doesn't match the finished product. For GM it's a high margin vehicle that sells behind great marketing & visual style...that's how I got hooked. I don't get it when other buyers say this car handles great, compared to what?? After owning 3 different 70's muscle cars the retro formula is disappointing. For those looking to buy one I have one for sale at a discount!

Favorite Features

Looks...that's it

Suggested Improvements

Too late for that, GM already showed there hand. This car is for the novice buyer who has to have a cheap 'muscle' car.

Ever since it was announced that they were bringing the old body style back, lets just say I couldn't wait. Purchased a Black on Black with the V6. Power from a V6? you would think it's a V8.... Trust me. Lines on this car are incredible.

Favorite Features

Everything form the engine to the body style to the exterior.

Suggested Improvements

Just like the rest... would have to say the blind spot/s.

I have owned my new 2ss camaro for 30 days it has spent about 10 days in the shop and is back for another visit. I love the looks and performance when it runs. I’m already having major transmission trouble and GM (The New GM) is as bad as ever when it comes to costumer service. I had a issue once with a Toyota 4- runner and they let me go and get another 4-runner and did not charge me a dime. I wish Toyota had a car that look like the Camaro because I know it would have been built right.

I have had this car for 2 weeks and I get a thrill every time I look at it and start it up. I can't get gas without at least 2-3 people stopping to come over and look at it. I got the imperial blue metallic with the silver stripes on the hood and trunk. So classy and that motor just makes my toes curl up in my shoes. The performance this car puts out is amazing and stuns the people I let drive it. Way to go Chevy!

Favorite Features

body styling, interior comfort, awesome boston acoustics...all of these make me not ever want to get out of it!

I love everything about this car

I have been in my Jewel Coat Camaro for a couple months now and am as excited each time I start it as I was when I picked it up from the dealership. Performance is perfect in every way. Fun to drive, acceleration amazing and looks like nothing else on the road today. When parked next to my coworkers Corvette most people radiate towards the Camaro with good reason. The Camaro looks tough from every angle. Wide and mean is the best way to describe the looks from the front. I am totaly satisfied with this car. I would rather drive this car than my Cadillac STS and that is a great car. I tried the imports and had nothing but trouble with my Mercedes E350. I would buy this car again and might.

Favorite Features

Looks, awesome from front to rear. Ride is firm and tight. Steering is like a race car, goes where it is pointed with no second guessing. Drives like it is on rails, literally feels like it should. Mileage is averaging 23.6 MPG combined. Highway mileage at 80 MPH is 26 MPG and at 70 MPH is 30-32

Suggested Improvements

The ONLY improvement I would suggest is dual mode mirrors like a wide angle view incorporated into the main mirror. Yes visibility was a concern when I first got it. But as with any new car you need to get the feel of it. Once I got acclimated I know where I am and where I am going, and that is nice

Review

I've owned higher performance cars in the past, but for a good compromise of comfort and performance, my Camaro is a good fit. We didn't want nor need the performance of the big V8, and liked the good gas mileage of the V6 models. We opted for the standard equipment manual transmission just because... The car is simply a blast. With the 19-inch wheels the car will take a corner pretty flat, but it doesn't rattle the fillings out of your teeth over bumps in the road either. Add the yellow paint and black stripes and it just simply looks sharp. Comfort is good with excellent seats even without adjustable lumbar. Visibility isn't perfect but like any other car you learn the blind spots.

Favorite Features

It's not unusual to hear somebody say Bumblebee every time you drive it, and my 5-year old thinks we really own Bumblebee. We added the console gauge package and it's just simply cool. It's great to be shifting a stick again too.

Suggested Improvements

I wish a HUD (heads up display) was an option, as well as a color display in the dash. The "infotainment" system is cool, but with a color screen there could be GPS moving map, backup camera, etc.

Picked up my pre-ordered 2010 aqua blue metallic 1ss a week ago. What power on this puppy! I am so happy I picked aqua blue, this color makes the car look gorgeous. People stare ALL the time and compliment many times. The sports cloth interior impresses me very much. Everything has been smooth with the car so far. Sunroof well worthed. One word of advice.. If you are debating between the V6 and the V8, get the V8. I was about to get the 6 cylinder, but I changed my mind in time and now have an awesome V8 that rocks almost anything on the street. The power for the price is just amazing. What a hot car... Very very happy so far..

Favorite Features

Overall exterior looks, Boston acoustics sound system, sunroof, upgraded wheel package, premium cloth seating very nice, ENGINE!, just a beauty

Suggested Improvements

Really nothing at all. I would say blindspots, but who cares. Its like a race car. Nothing else at this point.

Our Camaro is Black and any flaws would be easy to see. The fit and finish is outstanding in all areas. I am a retired C.N.C. Machinest from Boeing Aircraft, and a Very Picky Person. Every 2010 Camaro that i have seen is closer to a handmade custom, than a production car.I am totally Awed.

I cannot imagine anything needing improvement. Many thanks to the Crafts- Men & Women that helped to produce this fine automobile.

As a child of the 60's and a driver of most GM muscle I can state "the sheer force felt behind the wheel of my 2SS is like nothing I've experienced before".....totally awesome. I can confirm the blind spots but have little else negativity about this car. The gears are so strong I can't always be certain what gear I'm in and looking down doesn't solve my problem......the performance reminds me of a 1968 Olds 442 with a 3.90 rear axle I once had; only much more sophisticated. As to trunk entrance and interior/inferior, this car is for screeching starts and rushes of testosterone and has nothing to do with the golf course or fancy materials. Start it up and listen....retro all the way.

Favorite Features

I love the spit and sputter, cackle and backfire from the belly of the beast.

Suggested Improvements

I prefer a bright finish wheel similar to my Saturn Sky. Improvement to blind spots.
