Review of the 2004 Chevrolet Blazer

  • Although it does offer a strong running V6, the Blazer is otherwise outclassed by nearly every other sport-ute on the market. An option only if the low price is too hard for you to overlook.

  • Safety
  • Pros

Wide range of features and options, competent drivetrain, cheap price.

  • Cons

Aged platform, spotty build quality, low-grade interior parts, uncomfortable rear seats, poor resale value.

  • What's New for 2004

A deluxe overhead console and the AutoTrac four-wheel-drive system can now be ordered as stand-alone options on any Blazer. The Xtreme model gets revised wheels.

Vehicle: 2004 Chevrolet Blazer LS Rwd 4dr SUV (4.3L 6cyl 4A)

I have been a Jeep Cherokee owner for years, multiple Jeeps. Never owned a Chevy in my life, my family drives nothing but Chevy. I Decided to test drive the Blazer on a whim. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. It's a very comfortable car, handles very well. Much smoother than my Cherokees ever where. Drove it on vacation right away; great space & gas-on the highway and in the city. Then when you consider the savings on price, it was a no brainer, you save a bundle just for staying out of the popularity SUV race. (unless you want to impress people with paying more, that's another issue).

Sweet to drive

I love my truck..its comfortable and reliable...good on gas considering its size...Rides smooth and is very easy to switch to from 2wheel to 4 wheel....I can't think of anything bad about it

The trans. fluid dipstick is stuck and no amount of pulling or twisting is dislodging it so I can check the fluid in my 2004 Blazer. Any suggestions?...
