2000 Blazer is stuck in 4wd also at 98k. It occurred prior at 38K, took it to the dealership and called Chevy they extended the warranty and covered the cost, you can try that route, you should still be under warranty. I also have the roar, I just purchased My 2002 blazer a few days ago and I intend to bring it back to the dealer in a few days to get this checked out. Doesn't seem to me that this would be a normal condition, power loss and loud engine noise? I doubt chevy sent them out of the factory that way, or intended them to in any case. Read More...

I have a 2002 chevy blazer extreme with 22,000 miles on it. I just bought it a few weeks ago from a dealer. I had a viper remote start put in it. After a while the remote start wasn't working b/c the engine was taking longer to crank to actually start so i assumed it was the starter. I have been having problems with my service engine light on my 2001 Chevrolet Blazer. It has run constantly since December, 2002. Several people said it was because I changed fuels one time and put high test gas in it. I took the battery cables off overnight and the light went off. Hello Everyone! I just registered for this list. I have a 1991 S-10 Blazer with 190,000 miles on it. I have only 2 basic complaints about it -the paint was awful and lack of power (have to turn off the AC to pass anyone). It was garage kept for all but the last year.
