What is the best way to remove decals from a car. Specifically, I a 2001 chevy blazer that has decals on each side of the doors (2dr). OK, the multifunction switch has fixed the problems. They do tell me that the right blinker is blinking too fast (this is the one that didn't work at all prior to the multifunction switch replacement). Thank you again for your help.

I had the same thing on my 2000 Jimmy. It turned out to be the multifunction switch on the steering column. It's the one that has the turn signal, cruise control, emergency flashers and high beam switches. While driving, I constantly hear blinking as if I have my signal light on. It is not blinking/flashing on my dashboard, but always hear it blinking while car is running and driving; not when car is turned off. hey, remember one thing, unless you do need to haul in the bed 4000 plus pounds or more, you only need a ford f 150, the 2012 model payload capacity from ther ford website is 3060lbs. that is more than the 2500 hd chevy. so remember the f-150m is the same as the 2500 chevy and the 3500 dodge.

Well, to be honest, i changed the coil pack and module. No differance, and shortly after changing the cap and rotor, it would not start. So, after all of the other changes, a guy at checker said that the cam shaft sensors are terrible in all 4 and 6 banger gm's. I never changed that....yet. The mechanic who changed to rotor tested the fuel pump and it is passed the pressure test. Also, changing the rotor did not help. Its the fuel pump! After changing all of this: Ignition coil, distributor cap and rotor, ignition module, sparkplugs, cables. After changing all of them, it still would stall. Watch your temp gauge. I have had two of these do this, and what happened was the thermostat failed in the OPEN mode, which is good for not burning up the engine, but not good for warming up the engine fast enough, which on a 2001 (I think. yes, no fuse means no cruise... check the wires for the ABS on the new bearings, this is what causes that ABS problem... I had it twice, once before replacing the bearings and the 2nd time I had a broken wire leading to the ABS box... you may need to pass a dealer to have the computer reset on the ABS once this is fixed... good luck.. you need to get a diagnostic check. If you don't have access to a diag. tool, I believe autozone does that for free. Get the trouble codes stored in the pcm out so you know where to start...could be one of hundreds of problems.

I am having similar problems. Mine is #3109. Have spent a total of $250 in parts and $265 in labor. This started only after having a tune-up in September. But mine won't start with a jump. It will only start when it's finally had it's "hissy fit". I've had 2 fuel pimps in the past 3 yrs, the last one being in July, but there is fuel going thru.

ABS sensors are contained in the new hubs so whoever installed them probably ripped one of the senor wires or didn't plug the connector in all the way - get them to fix it. Without looking at the wiring diagram I'd say the ABS (brakes) has to be working due to the cruise is kicked off by the brake being applied so computer assumes brake on or problems so deactivates the ... if any one can give me any ideas it would be greatly appreciated. my break lights are not lighting when i engage the pedal, the center brake light over the hatch works, and my rear park lights work. i replaced fuse, and installed new bulbs, no luck!
They say it is the Catalytic Converter, may be, as my friends who have a 95 and a 97 both say that was the problemo. I will get it changed and see if that is the deal.
Yes I agree this is od as I can not find the source either. I have a 1996 4 x 4 Jimmy with 269,000 miles and it started the churping bird thing on accelleration a few days ago. It will go into the shop tomorrow and I will let you know.
Sounds like the same problem I am having with my 2004 Blazer. It will go into 2 hi and 4 low the lights will blink but WILL NOT go into 4 hi. Chevy dealership stated that I had to put it on the computer to find out what the exact problem is. ANYBODY KNOW WHAT IT IS AND HOW I CAN FIX IT WITHOUT SPENDING A FORTUNE ?

Blazers 3/2000-6/2001 manufacture dates had an NHTSA recall ID#01V36400 on like a half million vehicles for the multifunction switch developing an open circuit in the harzard carrier results in only the top mounted brake light working. Only switch on the brake pedal is the brake light and cruise deactivate so see if you have a short in the switch or cut wire - you should be able to unplug that switch and see if that solves it but do NOT leave it that way or no brake lihgts and the cruise will not kick off applying your brakes. Only thing I can think of.

2001 Chevy Blazer 4WD with 88600 miles: how often should the shocks be replaced? I bought it used almost 2 years ago and have not put shocks on it. There were about 56K on it then. I am assuming the ones on it now are the originals. I don't do any off roading with it but the roads here in NJ are pretty miserable in places. Thanks.

Had the exact same problem on 98 Blazer. Issue was the turn signal switch mechanism. Unfortunately part was $250 & $250 labor to install since steering column has to be disassembled to install it. Only 80k on vehicle at the time. Low grade parts appears to be the real issue ....
