A new distributor should have smoothed out everything but my guess is the rear plastic for the cap screw broke off as thats a common defect on these - then the cap can't be secured back on and a rebuilt fixes that about $75 part. blazer ran fine till I took it in for servicing. They replaced my distributure, and 2 motor mounts...NOW my gas pedal vibrates like hell....had it back in the shop 3 times, and they cant fix it...can anyone help?? Read More...

Well brian..it depends on the engine size and a few other factors. Typically a full size v-8 trucks will have a lower stall converter, around 14 to 1700. rule of thumb is the smaller the engine the higher the stall. if you have a 6 cyl then the typical stall is from 18 to round 2000...4 cyl are a little higher..2 to 2300. The part may have been the TCC in the trans as it effects the hard shift. Usually a new filter helps as any crap in the trans gets in the valve body and the computer adjusts the pressure to compensate. But if the 4wd is acting up the PCM/omputer adjusts shifts and pressures in 4wd so that would be a reason - see if the dash switch is fully connected or plugged in, and as you ... Read More...

Have a co-worker whos 2000 Blazer won't pass inspection because the ODB2 interface won't link. In order to pass inspection the computer needs to be checked for codes, check engine light is on. I just purchased a 2000 Chevy Blazer with 130,000 it didnt make any noise 1 month ago .. now i hear a noise all the time.. seems like since the snow, rain and cold weather came it hasnt stopped.. The radio on the Blazer will start to turn off and on when the car gets warmed up. It won't do it when you initially turn the car on but after about 10 minutes it starts its problem. The off and on times vary, they are not consistent. Also, the car battery dies at wierd times. The car may go for two day or three weeks without the battery dying but it will die at some point. ...
