Review
I bought this Blazer from someone who wanted absolutely nothing to do with it anymore for stupid reasons. I got it cheap, and stuck about 2000 dollars more into it with new fluids of every sort, water pump, floor mats, 4WD vaccuum, and some other things. Mostly things went wrong because it litterally sat a whole year without moving. Since I have had no problems. She was a little sluggish at first, understandable, but has since really picked up. It's been a pleasure to own and drive! I also got 24 miles per gallon highway, but it was twisty, hilly roads that I took to visit family, so I thought that was pretty good.
Favorite Features
Push button 4WD, fold down back seat, impressive gas mileage for it's size, very gutsy, comfortable, the overhead console with compass, etc., sunroof.
Suggested Improvements
None

While I certainly have many gripes, it has been a very reliable vehicle. I bought it new and it now has 162,xxx miles. It's never quit on me! I drive it in all conditions including plenty of off-road and snow. Outside of the typical repairs for this many miles (fuel pump, ball joints, alternator) and routine maintenance, I've had only a couple issues, but none major and it always starts. I keep expecting more problems but they haven't come yet. I have felt a few hard shifts from the tranny, but considering the too-tall gearing I'm amazed it got this far. Gas mileage is ok for a V6 SUV - avg about 20 combined.
Favorite Features
Engine, compass and outside temp, fold flat rear seats, a real tailgate you can sit on!, bomb-proof (ex. accidentally launched off snowbank and no damage except fender crease), surprisingly good on Jeep roads, still on original tranny, engine, diffs, shocks, many other parts, push button 4x4
Suggested Improvements
Interior rattles, lower gearing (top gear on the automatic is useless unless you're going 65+ on flat roads with a tailwind), auto 4WD, suspension doesn't handle washboard gravel roads well, stereo, manual tranny mode,
Not a bad car

I think that my car is very reliable. It has had its problems like replacing the tranny. After I bought the vehicle the check engine light came on and has been on ever since. I have had a misfire in the engine and after replacing the spark plug wires and the distributer cap it has run smoothly. The light is still on. I like the driver's seat options. I am a massage therapist and the option for posture is great. I think that it has helped me to be more aware of how I drive. The seats fold down enabling me to move a lot of my junk from place to place. I had to move from Mason City, IA. to Forest City, Ia. and I did it in 3 trips. So the space inside is roomy. I love my car!
Favorite Features
Lumbar support, 4-wheel drive buttons, back seats fold down easily-back hatch opens with a button from the front dash or back button. I just like my car. I also like the above compartments and for us directionally challenged people, the compass up above is real helpful!
Suggested Improvements
Mileage could be improved, back seats could be made more comfortable, transmission problematic. Other than that, pretty good.
It'll get me by for a while.

I bought it because it was cheap and I needed a little work truck/commuter. The tranny has been replaced, the AC has a leak but works if charged, the gas guage doesn't work so I have to keep an eye on mileage (270 miles per tank on average 15-16 MPG in town) The driver door spring broke off but the door still works. The ball joints need to be replaced, and the engine leaks oil pretty bad. Other than that the engine runs strong (especially after injector cleaner added to fuel). Overall, I don't mind my little beater, but it is definitely a short term solution.
Favorite Features
Fold down rear seats. Sound system isn't bad. Roof rack
Suggested Improvements
Better ball joint quality, better build quality

I love my truck. It's 4wd so I can go off road. The miles that I have put on it are from driving from Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, NC before and after my two deployments to Iraq. So I do a lot of freeway driving. And it pulls my trailer with no problem at all. The only thing that I have ever had go wrong with my truck was my mom ran over a stump one time in a field and dented the gas tank but that wasnt that much to fix. All in all I love my truck. and I realy don't want to get rid of it but I want a newer vehicle just like everyone on this earth does.
Favorite Features
Four wheel drive and the V6 Vortex
Suggested Improvements
I think all vehicles that are 4WD should come with a tow hitch. Mine did not but I had one installed and I love it.
Good for me.

As a student, I can't afford to waste money on repairs. So far with my Blazer, I've only had to replace the wiper module($60). Everything else is running perfect at 53,000 miles. I do some city driving, but mostly highway and can get over 20 mpg if I drive it easy. Sometimes I haul friends around and I've never had complaints with the interior space or cargo area. 4X4 is nice to have in the winter time.
Favorite Features
Nice power for 20 mpg. Body styling is attractive, especially with running boards. comfortable interior reliability, not once has it failed to start on the first turn of the key.
Suggested Improvements
For being 190 horsepower, it doesn't accelerate all that great. Maybe a larger back seat.

i like this vehicle besides the fact that the tranny in it stinks. i've heard alot of bad things about Blazer trannies and now I can relate as my tranny went out last month. Otherwise a nice SUV. Plenty of power and a comfortable ride overall.

Suggested Improvements
Better built tranny and better gas mileage

Overall this was a very good used car purchase. The only thing I have had to do to this SUV is change the ball joints 3 times! Cheap OEM ball joints they just don't last. No other problems and I would recommend the vehicle. Very roomy interior and lots of space for all your traveling needs. Comfortable to drive on long trips. plenty of horse power in the Vortec V6.
Favorite Features
Very roomy.
Suggested Improvements
Ball Joints.

Bought the car because it was cheap and clean. It had 83000 mi on it when we got it, now has 118000. It has had a few problems but nothing I would not have expected from a car of that milage. Key switch replaced, air cond. compressor, rear wiper motor and upper/lower ball joints.
Favorite Features
Love the fold down seats, the push button four whl drive, and the powerful engine.
Suggested Improvements
Gas mileage needs improvement, and car is top heavy, lots of body roll in the corners.
