The 1990-2001 S10 and Blazer ABS system is a poor design and the 1995 - 2001 ABS was improved over the 1989-1994 ABS system. With ABS brakes it is important to flush the brake fluid every 10,000 miles, including the ABS modulator. Your Service Engine Soon light blinks only for type A Miss-fires. The oil/Coolant leaks could be shorting out your Ignition system. If not that then your plugs may be Fouled, or wires may need replacing. As a side note, Check Timing chain for ware, should be checked after 100k. Check bottom of heads for leaks. You may need head job. Both antifreeze and oil are in the heads and may be ... Read More

I have a 95 Chevy Blazer LT. There are 120k miles on it. I have had problems but nothing that has caused my Service engine Soon light to come on and blink. Is it possible that my catalytic converter could be causing this? Or an O2 sensor? Also I had my water pumped recently changed but I am still leaking anitfreeze. I have also noticed I am leaking oil too, had ... Read More

I just purchased a 95' Chevy Blazer from e-bay in October and it recently started to stall. I had a diagnostic test done and well, let me make a long story short. Thus far I've replaced the catylitic converter, 2 oxygen sensors, fuel pump, sending unit, and relay, and something that has to do with the fuel pressure(?) and low and behold the damn thing still stalls. It'll stall a few ... Read More

In response to #745, I have a 1995 Chevy Blazer LT. If that intermittent clunking noise you have is under the floor of the passenger foot area, then it is a badly designed exhaust pipe that is striking the bottom of your truck according to my mechanic (who is really good). He even asked me if I had my catalytic converter replaced (which I have)and he said that the GM mechanic ... Read More

I have a 1995 Chevrolet Blazer LT 4x4 4-Door. I'm driving last night and I notice the oil pressure gauge is reading only 40PSI. Thats funny I think to myself, its normally at 60-70PSI . Well then the oil pressure drops to 0, then back up to 40, and then 0 again. By the time it was hitting 0 for the second time I had already turned on to a side ... Read More

Houstonman. Hi. My decision to purchase the Blazer in 95 was because I did not want a van and did want to be "higher up' for safety...etc. Cost was not much of a factor. In 1995 Chevy Blazer had the best (touring) suspension (SUV-wise); topping even Toyota. Everything comparable at that time was very truck-like and I hated the ride. When I got the Blazer...I loaded it with 3k in after ... Read More

I have a 1995 Blazer T. Loaded her up at the time. Most unreliable brakes I have ever experienced. Electrical system also bad. Have had battery problems... instant dead... for no reason. Bought the extended warranty... good thing!!! Have 50,000 miles on it... in mint condition and already ordered another brand of SUV. I would never normally purchase another car within 5 years, especially with this low mileage and MINT condition. ... Read More
