A Solid Truck for a Good Price
Vehicle
1990 Chevrolet Blazer 2 Dr Silverado 4WD Utility
Review
This Blazer has served us well. We bought it with only 33,000 miles on it, and still love it. It's been extremely reliable, and build quality has held up well on the dirt roads that we live on. The 5.7 L 350 V8 is amazingly quiet, smooth, and powerful. For under 10,000, the Blazer is a relative value even in today's market. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone. I wish that Chevrolet could bring these Blazers back.
Favorite Features
V8 Power and Refinement, Retro- interior, Roomy interior, good fit and finish.

Smoother ride, otherwise, nothing!

1990 Blazer S-10
Vehicle
1990 Chevrolet Blazer 2 Dr STD 4WD Utility
Review
I still drive this vehicle daily and have for 5 years. I bought the vehicle with 88K on it and the problems didn't hit until 135k. Then they really hit. The oil cooler began leaking like a sive, the headliner fell down on my head, #6 cylinder developed blowby that I couldn't keep spark plugs from fouwling. In five years I drove her to North Carolina and back twice, South Carolina and back twice and Missouri and back twice and Gettysburg and back without a problem! It rides and handles like a dream. I bought it for $5,500 in 97 and it doesn't owe me a thin dime. I still love this vehicle.
Favorite Features
I LOVE THE SLIDING SIDE WINDOWS for fresh air and side access to the back. This is by far my favorite feature! I give the overall styling an A++. I have ever driven in a Buffalo snow storm. The weight distribution is a real gem when it comes to traction.
Suggested Improvements
The rear mount tire breaks the rear window with only a bump, also the windshield has always leaked over the rear view mirror. The heater duct on the driver side floor burns your calf. The vehicle needs a stock high volume oil pump and could use more low end balls.

The last of the rugged Chevys
Vehicle
1990 Chevrolet Blazer 2 Dr Silverado 4WD Utility
Review
I have had my K-5 for 10 years and am finally thinking of trying to find a replacement (has not been easy). I have had some problems along the way - replaced the rear end in '98, new torque converter in '99, alternator caught fire in '97 - but in all it has been a great vehicle. They just don't build them like they used to. The dash actually has metal and vinyl, and is not all plastic like trucks of today. GM really needs to re-think their interior design for new models. If I had the money, I'd think seriously about restoration, but here in salt country (Central New York) it is impossible to keep the body going for ever.
Favorite Features
The rugged good looks, great power and torque of the 5.7 L, and the short wheel base.
Suggested Improvements
The rear gate design really needed to go. Any problems with the rear window, like getting frozen in the winter, and you can't get into the back. Nothing else comes to mind.
