I have a 2011 Chevy Aveo that is a 4dr hatchback it has less that 24k miles on it. I took it in because the front end rattled. One dealership changed the wheel bearings and said that I would have to get use to the popping noise that it now makes. UPDATE: IMPORTANT! Just did some checking online and if anyone ever stumbles across this looking for the actual ignition coil pack or coil pack bridge to replace that covers these 4 spark plugs, go online to look at Amazon or RockAuto or Autozone, the prices have dropped like a rock compared to what I was going to have to pay back in Feb of 2011 of $800-$900 range at Autozone then. ... I recently took our 2011 Aveo to our local GM shop after developing an acceleration vibration/noise problem. They could not find the cause and contacted Detroit... I should point out that it has not hindered performance at all, but it is "there" and it shouldn't be. The Aveo has 1500 miles on it. I recently visited our local GM service department after repeated acceleration vibration/noise pertaining to our 2011 Aveo...they could not find the problem and contacted Detroit... I set the parking brake when my car is parked on an incline. I would imagine that's a no brainer, so the dealership never even asked if I did it. The car has been stuck in park in both situations, level ground and incline... with and without the parking brake on. I just bought a 2011 Aveo Hatchback in April. I couldn't get it out of park a few times, took it to the dealership where they supposedly changed the shifting gears.... that was 2 weeks ago. 2 days ago, it happened again. I am trying to research to see how many aveo owners are having this issue.

2011 Aveo seems "overheated"...

Please forgive me if this post shows up again...I am new...our 2011 Chevy Aveo hatchback 1LS seems to be very "hot" after running in town...no warning lights...just smells hot. Is this normal? One of my friends was telling me today that we can say "goodbye" to the Chevrolet Aveo as we know it today because 2011 will be it's last year of production. We traded the piece of junk off!!!! :) We printed the complaints I found online forums and the 38 complaints off of the National Highway Traffic Safety Admin (filed a complaint as well supplied my VIN to them) took all those complaints that were like our to the dealership and they said "we can't do anything until Chevy/GM issue are repair bulletin. If you hate this car so much,why have you kept it for 5 years? Is it the sedan or the hatchback? I have the hatchback,a 2006 LS,and with the seats folded down,I can load in a ton of stuff. I dont know about the sedans dimensions. I think most people are taking about how much head room there is in such a small car, people over 6ft easily fit into it ... Read More
