I have a 2006 aveo and I have had every problem imaginable.I bought it brand new with less than 100miles on it. I have had the CPU replaced, new fuel filters, fuel pump,water pump, fuel injector, gas tank and bearings replaced in left side. this has all been in the last 6mos and the car has 30,000 miles. I have 2006 Chevy Aveo LS sedan (base model with ABS & premium sound)- bought in June 2006 as new. I live in Minnesota where it is very cold. It has about 27,500 miles on it. Till now there has not been any problem with it. Drive 20 miles one way to work. I do notice that in winters when the car starts, it roars a bit but then cools down :) ....I guess thats normal for the cold ... Read More...

The warranty in 2006 for the Aveo is 5-year, 60,000 power train. The power train includes the transmission, radiator, starter, etc, etc. GM has the most extensive list of items covered in the industry when under warranty. Read More...

mine is a 2006 but still the same car I believe,, not much if anything was changed. Everybody talks about a class action lawsuit.. with a class action lawsuit the only people getting any money is the lawyers.. the actual clients usually only get pennies on the dollar in most cases. Lets see...car runs good until service work, which consists of timing belt change. Then, high idle speed. Logic would suggest that the belt was installed improperly, probably affecting the timing by being off a tooth or so on a pulley.
