Siyle, comfort, useability, size and all around good looks. I chose not to include the add-on plastic, it looks tackey and has no use. I have been delighted with the ride and power. I purchased the 66 towing package and the best seats. I am one happy camper.
Favorite Features
Everything overall, seats in paticular.
Suggested Improvements
Include side steps on all units.

AWSOME TRUCK, RIDES LIKE A 4 WHEEL DRIVE CADILACK. I HAD IT FOR 8 MONTHS AND NO PROBLEMS. THE ONLY DOWN SIDE IS THE GAS MILAGE, 14 CITY AND 16 HIGHWAY BUT I DID NOT BUY IT FOR THE MILAGE.

The Avalanche has performed as advertised for us. We use it for our vacations hauling or travel trailer all over the state. The Avalance has handled our needs more than any other car or truck we have owned to date.

I Love My Avalanche

Review
At first I didnt like the looks of the Avalanche. Neighbors bought one and I soon began to like the utility then the looks began to attract me. So I picked up a white full armor unit and I love it! 10K so far and no problems. I get from 15 to 21 mpg which os great for a big car/truck like this. My cousins 2003 Expedition gets 13 to 16 mpg so the Chevy gets an excellent on mpg. The vehicle is comfortable, drives like a luxury car has utility like a truck. I highly recommned this vehicle to anyone interested in a vehicle that does it all. Super Job GM! Oh by the way the 5.3 Avalanche will smoke the 5.4 Expedition throught the 0-60 and the 1/4 mile!
Favorite Features
Ride, Utility (covered locking bed), Comfort, Fuel economy, 5.3 performance, looks great, trailer tow capacity, secure feeling on the highway and many more things...I am sold on this vehicle.

There needs to be a light showing that the tailgate is open. On a couple occasions mine came open and I didnt know it until someone came beside me and told me about it.

I have a 7 yr, 5 yr, 7 month year old and my wife has a baby on the way. I had some GM card rebate so I looked at every GM car that sat 6+ passengers. I have always had trucks so wanted a bed if possible. I didn't even look at the Avalanche at first because I always thought it was ugly and didn't even consider it. I looked at TrailBlazer, 4 door Silverado, Venture, and Tahoe. Luckily my rep convinced me to look at it....loved it and never looked back. For you parents out there.....what sealed the deal was the airbag sensor in the front seats - 4 door trucks like Silverado don't have it - so it's safe for kids in the front seat of the Avalanche.
Favorite Features
Air Bag sensor, Huge bed - larger than a full size Silverado when seat is down, Wide ride, Standard hard bed covers.
Suggested Improvements
Only poor quality is that the dial locks that lock in the rear window are chincy plastic that have both broke in 5000 miles. No big deal under warranty. A great improvement would be if the rear window was electric and retracted down behind the seat.

This vehicle is comfortable, smooth and great for traveling in. Handles great, and little to no bounce in the ride.
Favorite Features
Corners great, and comfort of the suburban, but the conveince of a truck.
Suggested Improvements
Not completley air tight in back, can get wet through the tail gate. Back window a little small for visability.

I bought this truck to pull my 31' Airstream travel trailer. Put 10,000 miles on it from February-April this year. This vehicle is awesome! Does a GREAT job. VERY comfortable. I got ALL the options I think.
Favorite Features
Heated leather seats, sunroof, Bose Stereo system, power seats, comfortable ride. The change feature is absolutely awesome. SO useful!!
Suggested Improvements
Needs an easier to use lighting system for the cargo area and a warning gauge to tell me when I've left the tailgate down. I use the cargo area as my trunk and Chevy needs to think of it as a trunk.

Sorry I ever saw one of these things. Seemed pretty cool at first but quickly got ugly. Sucks gas like my old Hemi 'Cuda of 1970 vintage. Poor build quality and generally worthless design. Not really a truck and not really an SUV. It gets increasingly uglier every day and the plastic trim everywhere, inside and out, won't stay attached. Will dump it on the used car market soon. Certainly, Dodge and Ford have the edge.
