2003 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500 4dr Crew Cab Rwd (5.3L 8cyl 4A)

We were looking 4 a "family" type vehicle. Had leased Suburban&looked @ Ford F150 4dr.Was nice. Then went back 2 Chevy 2 see what they had in similar price range. Tried their Silverado, but salesman/finance guy pointed out price of Avalanche. Being very happy with leased Burban, we were impressed with suspension and overall ride/handling of it!A great find!Had always liked the boxyness of it's styling but thought would be priced higher than average 4drs. Picked out an Arrival Blu WITH "armour" pakage and have never looked at another truck since! By the way, 2 Loren Guinn 7/03, plastic mouldngs AREN'T tacky & has prevented many a dents in parking lots a

Stereo auto vol;midgate option;rear window removability;hard bed cover pieces;locking tailgate;side bed compartments;fog/daytime running lights;rear bumper steps;rearcenter seat shouldr belt;& NOT LEAST:plastic body mouldings that not only give it a baja look, but protect it from din

Worst Features

Better mileage (future hibryds would catch OUR pocket books!);dual temp. control like Burbans w/ backseat control;cup holders with closer access from rear seats; better tranny...had to take ours in twice for shifting probs, thand goodness to 100K warranty!
