Review
I love the height of the vehicle. I love the amount of room, I always feel like I have room for everything. I like the roomyness. It is very comfortable to ride in. It is easy to drive and manuver. Mostly the fact that I can see what is going on. The drivers seat is extremely comfortable.
Favorite Features
I love the height of the vehicle. I can see everything. It gives me a feeling of sitting up above everyone and gives me a feeling of comfort in being able to see clearly all the way around me.
Suggested Improvements
The vents for the A.C. need to be relocated and to be much more condusive for the drivers comfort. I find them very annoying and frustrating.

Not bad
Vehicle
2003 Chevrolet Astro AWD 3dr Minivan (4.3L 6cyl 4A)
Review
So far we've only had the van for 5months. It's not bad. The things I have noticed: not enought leg room in the front seats, blind spot if you get the model with the back doors that swing out, kinda hard to get into from the front, side window fasteners made cheaply. Gas tank doesn't lock from in/out side. I thought all new cars did this now adays.
Favorite Features
Lots of room in the back. Not too bad on gas...considering it is a big van. I do love my van!
Suggested Improvements
Needg as tank switch inside so you can lock it.Needs one of those safety handles on the drivers side to help you get into the car. Some type of clearance sensor on the top of the vehicle would be really nice.

Great for teens
Vehicle
2003 Chevrolet Astro LT Rwd 3dr Minivan (4.3L 6cyl 4A)
Review
I'm a 16 year old guy that got an astro van for my first car, it's the biggest thing I've ever driven but it handles like a small car, just dont take turns too fast. I've fit around 18 people in it comfortably and I've taken it on a few roadtrips. Quite possibly the best vehicle for driving to the beach and places like that, can fit almost anything and everything you have, and doesnt have a problem moving it around.
Favorite Features
The front seats have two armrests wich is very comfortable, also sittin up higher than most cars on the road is nice, because you can see much more.
Suggested Improvements
change the climate control style.

A good vehicle at a good price
Vehicle
2003 Chevrolet Astro LS AWD 3dr Minivan (4.3L 6cyl 4A)
Review
Anyone considering one should get it. It will last forever (my father in-law has a 94 with 180,000 Miles and still going)and it hauls more than anything in its class. It also cheaper than ANY SUV, and bigger than most. It is NOT a mini-van...more like a mid size van. If you consider a Mini-Van, you may pay less, but you will get less in size and power.
Favorite Features
Power: very nice for hauling, and for better get up and go, get the K&N Filtercharger from any speed shop or auto accessories shop (about $45), and you will feel the better acceleration instantly. AWD: a must for all weather drivers. Very nice to have when the kids are a concern.
Suggested Improvements
An alarm... I don't get why, but it has none. So, I got a Lo-Jack rig installed. NOTE!!!!: You will need to have a motion sensor placed in the back , because the rear dutch door is NOT connected to the lighting system.

Aged but utilitarian van
Vehicle
2003 Chevrolet Astro LS Rwd 3dr Minivan (4.3L 6cyl 4A)
Review
I have had this van for little over a year with 28,000 miles. So far, I've had no repair problems. Cargo space is what sold me on this van, and it has been impressive. It has almost as much room as my previous full-size van. This van is by no means fast but has tremendous pulling power. The steering is light and quick, but it is also loose and numb. Although Chevy has continually updated this vehicle over the years, you can't escape the fact that this is a vehicle from the eighties. While functional, interior design is very stark and dull with plenty of monochrome plastics. All in all however, Astro is a very capable and reliable vehicle.
Favorite Features
Excellent climate control performance. Clear, easy to read gauges. Trip computer. Automatic headlight. Precise gear shifter. Turn signal reminder. Retained power (even radio). Visibility.
Suggested Improvements
Sensitive power window switch which always goes into Auto mode. Brake which feels faded. Multi-function turn signal stalk (feels cheap and cruise switches on accidentally too easily). Dash design and material. Bigger and more precise wipers.

A Lot of Van for the Money
Vehicle
2003 Chevrolet Astro LS Rwd 3dr Minivan (4.3L 6cyl 4A)
Review
This van has more passenger, cargo, and towing capacity than any other minivan on the market. The truck frame and suspension make it much sturdier than the the car-based minivans of today yet the ride quality and handling reflect the beefier suspension. The interior quality of the LS looks and feels cheap but I like the rubber floor mats that it came with. Compared to the 2002 Pontiac Montana that I owned previously, this van is much more capable of of hauling 8 adult passengers and their luggage. If you're looking for a van that can truly carry eight people and still cruise effortlessly down the freeway this is the van for you.
Favorite Features
Single sliding door that feels sturdier than the dual sliding doors of today's newer vans, rubber floor mats, great engine and transmission, surprisingly good fuel economy, commanding view of the road, wonderful towing capacity, wonderful price.
Suggested Improvements
Cheap interior, no GM Oil Life System, intruding wheel wells/lack of front foot space, lack of front storage, turning radius of a Greyhound bus (don't even try to make a U-turn), bad crash test rating, very squirly on wet pavement, vehicle is "thrown" around by high winds.

Family Van
Vehicle
2003 Chevrolet Astro LS Rwd 3dr Minivan (4.3L 6cyl 4A)
Review
It's perfect for a larger family. We have three small kids in carseats, it's the only van we could find that was able to fit all three perfectly, and it's still affordable. We haven't had any big problems with the van, just the normal wear and tear that all vehicles experience. This van has a lot of power, we drive up and down a steep grade daily, and it has no hesitation whatsoever. Definetly would buy another one in the future.
Favorite Features
One thing we love, is the rear air and heat controls. We can turn it off if the kids get to cold or hot, and still have it on us in the front. We love how much room we have, we can hall large items, such as mattresses, and still have our kids safely in their seats!
Suggested Improvements
I would say the gas milage needs improvemnt, and a safer re-design. A rear light that comes on automatically when you lift the rear door would be great too.
