There will be no shortage of new Porsche 911 variants coming down the pipeline, but without question, one of the most popular is going to be the 911 Carrera S with the PDK transmission. To explore its handling and performance capabilities, we brought this new 911 to the Edmunds.com test track. Acceleration was tested with 0-60 and quarter-mile tests, while braking was calculated using 60-0. Handling tests included a timed slalom and two trips around a skid pad to generate a lateral acceleration calculation.
