The new "EcoBoost" turbocharged V6 in the Ford F-150 promises the towing capability of a V8 with fuel efficiency closer to a V6. As it turns out, though, it also delivers acceleration vastly better than both. We found out even more at the Edmunds test track. Besides acceleration being tested with 0-60 and quarter-mile tests, braking was calculated using 60-0. Handling tests included a timed slalom and two trips around a skid pad to generate a lateral acceleration calculation.
