The Dodge Nitro Shock isn't exactly shocking, but it does come with a 4.0-liter V6 that makes 260 horsepower. With the optional Trailer Tow Group, it has the capability of towing 5,000 pounds. The Edmunds test track isn't its natural home, but we brought it there anyway. Acceleration was tested with 0-60 and quarter-mile tests, while braking was calculated using 60-0. Handling tests included a timed slalom and two trips around a skid pad to generate a lateral acceleration calculation.
