The Porsche 911 GT3 is a fast car (aren't all Porsches?) that is meant for the track. It has rear-wheel drive, minimal weight, and of course, a manual transmission. How well does it do in its natural habitat? To find out, we took it to the Edmunds test track. Acceleration was tested with 0-60 and quarter-mile tests, while braking was calculated using 60-0. Handling tests included a timed slalom and two trips around a skid pad to generate a lateral acceleration calculation.
