Top 10 Crossovers and SUVs With the Most Cargo Capacity for 2011

One of the most appealing things about crossovers and SUVs is the fact that many offer generous cargo areas capable of easily accommodating whatever big loads you throw their way. You simply can't argue with that kind of effortless utility.

If you're looking for the model in this segment with the most room for your stuff, you'll want to check out the list below; these 10 vehicles are the crossovers and SUVs with the most cargo capacity for 2011. Each model was allowed only one appearance on the list, and the measurement shown reflects that of the trim with the most cargo capacity. All measurements shown are in cubic feet.

Note that the Chevy Suburban, Cadillac Escalade ESV and GMC Yukon XL are tied on this list, since they have the same cargo capacity. This stems from the fact that they're all based on the same platform.

  • I'll have to assume this is cargo room behind the 2nd row, with the seat up, as some of these don't have 3rd rows. Toyota Sequioa has over 66 cu ft behind the second row. Where's that? BD

This article is absurd, assuming it's talking about the cargo space behind the last row of seating. To say that a Yukon XL has less cargo space than a Wrangler is ridiculous. You need to make it a fair comparison; at least remove the third row in vehicles which are so equipped and compare the cargo capacity of the vehicle while transporting five people.

How about Mazda CX-9? Are you not counting it because of the 3rd row seat up? This is what I found online. EPA cargo volume 2nd- and 3rd-row down (cu ft) 100.7 EPA cargo volume 2nd-row up and 3rd-row down (cu ft) 48.3 EPA cargo volume 2nd- and 3rd-row up (cu ft) 17.2
