SHANGHAI, China — Nissan has released another teaser image of the Friend-Me concept, which is set for an unveiling next week at the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show.

The new image shows the rear end of the Friend-Me, which features boomerang-shaped taillights.

Nissan said the Friend-Me is aimed at the youth market in China.

The Friend-Me Concept features a center console that allows "equal information sharing among all aboard," said a Nissan statement.

Nissan said Chinese designers working at Nissan Design China in Beijing helped to create the concept. "Friend Me," of course, is a term that is part of the fabric of social media.

The automaker said this is its "first concept car with key input by Chinese designers."

Edmunds says: The Nissan Friend-Me may be aimed at the Chinese, but it looks like it could translate well just about anywhere in the world.
