PARIS — The Peugeot GTi Surfboard Concept is set to make waves at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed, as the iconoclastic French pay tribute to the show's "thrill seekers."

The concept, created by Peugeot Design Lab, is inspired by things with four wheels — the Peugeot 208 GTi, RCZ R and Onyx concept.

The French surfboard blends traditional wood and carbon fiber and also features quad fins placed along the edge of the tail. Peugeot explains that the fins give the surfboard "a responsive, exhilarating and agile ride quality."

No word on whether the concept will be produced.

Edmunds says: The ever-growing Goodwood Festival of Speed is shaping up as a venue for conveyances of all kind, including the aquatic.
