DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — The Dubai Police are stepping up their game: The latest addition to the local law-enforcement fleet here is a rare Aston Martin One-77, which joins the force's Ferrari FF, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, Lamborghini Aventador and Bentley Continental GT.
The big-bucks, high-velocity police fleet is being showcased this week at the Arabian Travel Market at the Dubai World Trade Center. Photos were released by the Dubai Police on their Twitter feed.
Gulf News quoted the Dubai Police chief, Lt Gen Dahi Khalfan Al Tamim, as saying the high-end police cars will be used for "security purposes," with the Ferrari FF reserved for female patrol officers.
Local news reports from the United Arab Emirates said the police-spec Aston One-77, done up like its stablemates in green-and-white livery, cost roughly $3 million.
