TORRANCE, California — Turn 10 Studios has created a virtual edition of the custom Meguiar's 2013 Scion FR-S for gamers to play in Forza Motorsport 4 and Forza Horizon.
Meguiar's and Scion joined hands for the development of the sports car, which previously debuted at the 2012 SEMA Show.
The car features a "Fly Yellow" exterior with a gunmetal racing stripe down the middle, a rear spoiler, modified front and rear lights, carbon-fiber lip kit, blacked-out emblems, 19-inch wheels and an upgraded interior. The wheels offer a center lock conversion, and the Scion's stance is lower thanks to a set of KW coil-overs.
"The Forza Motorsport games encourage players to customize cars to reflect their individuality, and both the real and digital versions of the Meguiar's FR-S stand out from the pack. Bringing the FR-S into the Forza franchise is a great match of Scion customization and a vehicle that is a lot of fun to drive inside the game and out," said Scion Vice President Doug Murtha.
There will be new online rival events featuring the vehicle and a Forza Horizon photo contest that will allow players to win prizes if they take an in-game photo of the Meguiar's FR-S and upload it to the game's store front with the tag "Meguiar's FR-S." The top five photos will be selected as winners after the contest ends on May 17.
The Meguiar's 2013 Scion FR-S is now available as a free download for Forza Horizon players and Forza Motorsport 4 gamers who have purchased the August Playseat Car Pack that runs for 560 MS points or $7. Both titles are only available for the Microsoft Xbox 360.
