McLaren said a team of its engineers, technicians and racing drivers are running a fleet of XP-code-named vehicles around the clock on roads and circuits around the globe.
Speculation is rampant that the P1 will be priced at $1.2 million, but McLaren's U.S. spokeswoman told Edmunds that a price has not been released yet.
"We haven't released a price yet and specifications are not confirmed," said Michele Shapiro, a McLaren spokeswoman, in a phone conversation.
The latest video and McLaren statement offer a few more details about the P1. The P1 undergoing testing is using an Akebono braking system, Pirelli high-performance tires and Mobil 1 fluids.
