SEOUL, South Korea — The Kia Pro_cee'd GT, a hot hatch version of the 2013 Kia Pro_cee'd, will arrive in European showrooms in the second half of 2013, but there are no plans to launch the car in the U.S.

The Pro_cee'd GT will feature a 1.6-liter turbocharged GDI four-cylinder engine linked to a six-speed manual transmission.

The GT model is based on the 2013 Kia Pro_cee'd, which made its world debut at the 2012 Paris Auto Show.

The sole teaser image of the Kia Pro_cee'd GT shows a low-slung, highly sculpted car dominated by oversized wheels and tires.

Edmunds says: A Kia that's meant for European buyers — not performance enthusiasts in the U.S.
