DETROIT — The Hot Wheels 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Concept promises to be a highlight of the Hot Rod Power Tour that kicks off on June 1.

The Power Tour starts on June 1 in Arlington, Texas and wraps up six days later in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Camaro Concept is a tribute to the Custom Camaro that was part of the original 16 Hot Wheels toys issued in 1968.

Chevrolet says its other production performance cars on the tour include a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible and a Chevrolet Corvette 427 Collector Edition Convertible.

The tour includes stops in Little Rock, Arkansas; Memphis, Tennessee; Birmingham, Alabama and Chattanooga, Tennessee.

A Chevrolet "Motor Medic" Silverado support vehicle, which is equipped with tools and parts to service tour cars, will also be part of the festivities.

Edmunds says: A great way to get the summer cruising season rolling.
