UNIVERSAL CITY, California — Universal Pictures takes viewers inside the plot of the upcoming Fast & Furious 6 film with a featurette trailer just released on YouTube.
The movie starts with Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his crew laying low all over the world after completing their "last" job in the previous film that netted them a cool $100 million. Luke Hobbs, the U.S. Diplomatic Security Service agent played by Dwayne Johnson, finds Toretto and asks for help catching a criminal mastermind and his team with an unparalleled prowess for driving.
The trailer goes into the minds of the characters as they chase this new villain across Europe — Dom realizes he can't say no to Hobbs when he finds out his purportedly dead ex-girlfriend is alive and assisting the criminal mastermind they are up against — saying in typical Fast fashion: "You don't turn your back on family, even when they do."
Fast & Furious 6 hits the silver screen on May 24 to kick off Memorial Day weekend.
Universal and The Fast and the Furious team announced that Fast & Furious 7 will be released next July.
