MUNICH, Germany — Fashion designer Roberto Cavalli created the 2013 Life Ball Mini Paceman, the latest in a series of designer Minis that have been auctioned off at the annual Vienna event dedicated to combatting HIV and AIDS.

Cavalli joins a long list of notable designers who have created Life Ball Minis over the past 13 years. They include Diane von Furstenberg, Kenneth Cole and Angela Missoni.

The cars have raised more than $650,000 at the Life Ball auctions, which began in 2002.

The Cavalli Paceman will feature an iridescent black and brown paint scheme, with the designer's distinctive logo on the roof and custom touches in the cockpit.

The car will be unveiled May 24 at the opening of Cavalli's new Vienna store, and will be auctioned the next day at the Life Ball.

Edmunds says: Brand-name designers continue to pitch in for a worthy cause.
