DARTFORD, England — Caterham Cars said it will release an "affordable" entry-level version of the Seven this fall.

The British brand said the car will be priced under $25,000.

Deliveries of the as-yet unnamed car will begin by the end of the year. The car is being teased via a shadowy photo released by the automaker on Thursday.

"The new entry-level Seven will be uncomplicated, easy to run and, most important of all, an intuitive and exciting drive," said Graham Macdonald, Caterham Cars CEO, in a statement.

Specification details will be released later, the company said.

amazing how many ways and times they can slice the same tomato. Jeesh at least bring out a full bodied version and maybe a coupe as well. They did it in the past but obviously not as an entry level verson.

There is absolutely no reason why the Seven should cost more than $25K in the first place. It's not like it comes with a carbon-fiber body, a Ferrari engine, A/C, 1000 watt stereo, electronics overkill, and all the other stuff which makes new non-Sevens cost so much.
