2015 Cadillac XTS Earns Five-Star Safety Rating From Federal Government

DETROIT — The 2015 Cadillac XTS sedan earned the highest five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The rating applies to front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions of the XTS.
Earning five stars in the front and side crash tests and four stars in the rollover crash test, the 2015 XTS is on sale now.
Cadillac's 2015 XTS has not yet been rated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
Standard safety equipment on the 2015 XTS includes dual-stage frontal airbags, knee airbags, side-impact airbags, head-curtain airbags and seat side-impact airbags for outboard rear passengers. Also, a rearview camera with dynamic guidelines is standard on Luxury, Premium and Platinum Collections.
The Driver Awareness package is standard with the Premium and Platinum Collections and available on Luxury. It includes a Safety Alert Seat, lane-departure warning, side blind-zone alert, rear cross-traffic alert and forward-collision alert. Lane-keep assist is new for 2015 and is available on front-wheel-drive models only.
The Driver Assist package is standard on the Platinum Collection and available on the Premium Collection. It includes all of the Driver Awareness package content, plus full-speed range-adaptive cruise control and front and rear automatic braking.
Edmunds says: Shoppers should note the 2015 Audi A6 also earned the highest five-star overall safety rating. The 2015 Acura RLX and 2015 Chrysler 300C have not been rated.
