TORRANCE, California — The 2015 Acura NSX Prototype makes a dynamic debut in two short videos posted by Acura Insider, the company's official Twitter account.

The clips are little more than teasers that appear to herald a major social-media campaign for the supercar.

The short videos amount to about a 15-second look at the Acura NSX in action. The second video comes with the following text: "Six seconds not enough to satisfy your #AcuraNSX craving? Here's 9 extra seconds of heart-pounding desire."

The 2015 Acura NSX prototype will take a lap on August 4 before the Mid-Ohio Indy 200. The event will be broadcast live at 3 p.m. EDT on NBC.

The prototype bears a strong resemblance to the concept.

Honda announced earlier that it will build the Acura NSX in Ohio. The 2015 NSX will be produced exclusively at a new $70-million Performance Manufacturing Center in Marysville, Ohio, and exported around the world.

Honda said earlier that the NSX will begin mass production in 2015. Pricing has not been announced.

Edmunds says: This latest tease includes the sights and sounds of what will undoubtedly be one of the most sought-after supercars on the planet.
