CHERRY HILL, New Jersey — The 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid, the brand's first hybrid vehicle, starts at $26,820, including an $825 destination charge, Subaru of America announced on Tuesday.
The top-of-the-line 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid Touring starts at $30,120, including shipping.
The XV Crosstrek Hybrid will arrive in showrooms later this year. It debuted at the 2013 New York Auto Show.
There is a scarcity of hybrid crossovers in this segment. Ford dropped the Escape Hybrid when the car was redesigned for model year 2013. The 2013 Toyota Highlander Hybrid is one of the few mainstream offerings. The 2013 Highlander Hybrid starts at $41,425, including an $860 destination charge. Toyota has not posted 2014 Highlander Hybrid pricing.
Standard equipment on the base XV Crosstrek Hybrid includes keyless access and start, automatic climate control, upgraded instrument cluster, body-color foldable side mirrors with integral turn signals, leather-wrapped steering wheel with silver stitching and chrome exterior door handles.
The XV Crosstrek Hybrid Touring adds a touchscreen navigation system, leather-trimmed seating and a power moonroof.
All XV Crosstrek Hybrids are equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer engine and Subaru symmetrical all-wheel drive.
