FRANKLIN, Tennessee — The 2014 Nissan Pathfinder starts at $29,545, including an $845 destination charge, reflecting a $50 price increase over the 2013 Pathfinder.

The top-of-the-line 2014 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum 4WD starts at $42,045, including destination.

Nissan has not announced pricing on the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid, which goes on sale in the fall. The non-hybrid 2014 Pathfinder is on sale now.

Enhancements for 2014 Pathfinder models include a new $1,570 SL Tech Package that includes a Bose 13-speaker audio system, navigation system, voice recognition and Bluetooth.

A dual DVD entertainment system adds $1,850 to the bottom line and a trailer tow package adds $400.

The 2014 Pathfinder's starting price slots between two of its chief competitors, the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Honda Pilot.

The base 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x2 starts at $29,790, including a $995 destination charge. The 2013 Honda Pilot starts at $30,350, including an $830 destination charge.

The Nissan Pathfinder was redesigned for the 2013 model year.

Edmunds says: Nissan tweaks the 2014 Pathfinder a bit by making navigation available on the SL trim level and not just on the high-end model.
