YOKOHAMA, Japan — The 2014 Nissan GT-R "Bolt Gold," inspired by Olympic champion Usain Bolt, is headed for a global online charity auction starting November 22.

The eBay Motors auction is open to prequalified bidders in countries where the Nissan GT-R is sold, including the U.S., according to the auction's terms and conditions. The delivery date for the Bolt Gold GT-R will be four or five months after payment, depending on the destination. Nissan says that the one-of-a-kind Bolt Gold exterior paint treatment requires "special treatment" and will be covered in a warranty by Nissan.

The car "will be built to the performance specifications conforming to regulations in the winning bidder's country of residence," said Nissan in a statement on Monday.

Bidding ends on December 2.

Bolt, who captured six Olympic medals and is called the "world's fastest man," is Nissan's "director of excitement."

All proceeds from the charity auction will benefit the Usain Bolt Foundation, which supports educational and cultural opportunities for children and young people in Bolt's home country of Jamaica.

Edmunds says: The fine print in the auction's terms and conditions notes that Nissan has right of first refusal if the winning bidder decides to resell the one-of-a-kind GT-R Bolt Gold.
