2014 Hyundai Veloster Gets Price Increase

COSTA MESA, California — The base 2014 Hyundai Veloster starts at $18,610, including an $810 destination charge, reflecting a $215 price increase over the base 2013 model.

The top-of-the-line 2014 Hyundai Veloster Turbo with a six-speed automatic transmission with Shiftronic starts at $24,100, including shipping.

The base 2013 Hyundai Veloster starts at $18,395, including a $795 destination charge.

A rearview camera, driver's blind-spot mirror and daytime running lights are now standard equipment on all Velosters. Torque vectoring control is standard on the Turbo model, while automatic temperature control is an option. The 2014 Veloster is a carryover model.

Hyundai announced pricing on the new 2014 Hyundai Veloster Turbo R-Spec at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show but did not provide full-line Veloster pricing at the time. The 2014 Veloster Turbo R-Spec starts at $22,110, including shipping.

Hyundai Motor America said the success of the limited-edition Veloster RE:MIX, which accounts for 10 percent of Veloster sales, will spawn "more Veloster special editions in the near future."

Edmunds says: The 2014 Hyundai Veloster gets a price hike, but still manages to come in below two of its chief competitors, the 2014 Honda CR-Z and 2014 Scion tC.
